(HealthDay News) -- Sleep apnea causes brief disruptions in breathing as you sleep. It can lead to any of the dangers of sleep deprivation, such as daytime fatigue.
The U.S. National Heart Lung and Blood Institute says warning signs of sleep apnea include:
- Loud, persistent snoring, including gasping or choking sounds.
- Daytime sleepiness.
- Morning headaches.
- Difficulty concentrating, learning or remembering.
- Feeling moody, irritable or depressed.
- Morning dry mouth or sore throat.
