(HealthDay News) -- Losing your hair may not be a typical sign of aging. It may be caused by a medical condition, experts say.
The American Academy of Dermatology says possible causes of hair loss include:

- Major surgery.
- A high fever.
- Certain treatments for cancer, including chemotherapy and radiation.
- A scalp infection, such as ringworm.
